So yeah, its on sale on steam for anyone who wants it!
But is it worth it? I loved Oblivion. Its probably my favourite game ever. But then again, I havent played Oblivion for years now. Is morrowind a good/better game? Will I enjoy it?
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released May 01, 2002
The third entry in Bethesda's series of expansive first-person role-playing games. Arriving on the island of Vvardenfell as a prisoner, the player character is caught up in an ancient prophecy, as well as a power struggle between factions, races, and gods incarnate.
On Sale for 5 bucks-worth it?
" Yes. See if you can get the Morrowind Graphics Extender working for it, though. I think it takes some doing with the Steam version. "Ya. Ive heard its a pain to do mods with a steam game.
" @The_Laughing_Man: Only if the mod mods the .exe. "Its the GOTY edition. I might pick it up for that price.
I dunno. I didn't like it but I really enjoyed Oblivion. I think my problem was the lack of direction and super dicey combat. I bought it as my first Xbox game last generation, and again on the PC when Oblivion was about to come out (I really wanted to like it but just couldn't).
Hated Fallout 3, loved first two Fallouts.
If you can handle the amount of jankyness it has, its absolutely worth it.

" Morrowind beats the pants off of Oblivion. The combat may be janky but Morrowind is easily the best game Bethesda has made.
^Pretty much that.
Well, I just started playing this game today, and it's also the first Elder Scrolls game I've played, but so far so good.
The game world is enormous. Right from the beginning you're free to do whatever you want. I admit feeling kinda lost right now, but that's pretty awesome at the same time. It's very different to most other games I play so it feels refreshing even for such an old game.
It's very slow-paced and the combat has not been that great so far. There's also tons of information thrown at you in the beginning (locations, names, etc) that is kinda hard to take in, but I think it'll make more sense once I get deeper into it.
I say for 5 bucks, it's definitely worth it. Just install a bunch of mods and you're good to go!
I say yes. It's an old looking game, but you can get an enormous amount of mods to spruce it up. I vastly preferred Morrowind to Oblivion for one reason - it doesn't scale. For me, I like to start a game being appropriately weak against strong enemies and gradually become more powerful as the game progresses.
