The third entry in Bethesda's series of expansive first-person role-playing games. Arriving on the island of Vvardenfell as a prisoner, the player character is caught up in an ancient prophecy, as well as a power struggle between factions, races, and gods incarnate.
I love the muisc from this game, and it always gives me a rush of nostalgia, and if fitted/fits so perfectly with the game itself, and personally, I think now game has since come close to that title theme, I was just wondering if others shared my opinion or had something to add.. What is your favourite piece of music from a fantasy themed game?
If I had to describe it in one word, I think that it be Grand.
I actually think that Morrowind had better "epic" sounds, but Oblivion had a lot better atmospheric music. But, then again, I think that just comes from the advances in technology.
Yes. The opening theme is my favorite piece of music ever. Props to TheSeductiveMoose for suggesting The Witcher. It has a pretty good soundtrack as well, but nothing is even comparable to Morrowind.
I thought the soundtrack was really, really short? In Greg Kasavin's video review he said the same couple of tracks play over and over again throughout the entire game
It's damn good for sure, but I'd say Odin Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Okami all have better soundtracks. I mean damn, dude, just listen to this shit:
