To no one's surprise Ed has been officially revealed as the third Season 2 character for Street Fighter V over on the Capcom blog. He's bulked up quite a bit since the SFV story mode (thanks to his "accelerated aging" I guess???) and fights by combining the styles of his two dads'. Boxing and Psycho Power. He's supposed to have simplified inputs, with no command motions for any of his moves outside of his Critical Art. Instead you perform all his fancy attacks with button combinations, button holds, and repeated presses. I'm not sure if he's supposed to be a lower barrier-to-entry character or what, but I'm 100% down to give him a test run. He looks very very fun.

He's going to be playable as part of the May 11-14 CFN open beta, which afaik is free to everyone so give him a spin!

Is this the character that gets me back into low level, never online, SFV? He seems pretty fun!

The way he plays sounds really interesting. I'm glad that they're at least trying something unique with this character.

Hmm I'm out of fight money so I might actually have to buy this character, looks interesting. Anybody think Smug will have a new main?

@starvinggamer: @slax: If I had to guess he's probably harder than the average SFV character.

It seems likely that pianoing will be required to play him which could cause problems for pad players.

I also anticipate a lot of accidental specials without motions to act as a barrier.

Add another blond to the roster.
I really like his animations, but the character design is just a bit basic.

Looks like a good character for new players
