I bought the Jeff Gerstmann Home Game, but I'm missing a few pieces. How do I order a replacement Jeff?

Edit: I... had never seen the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. This is blowing my mind right now. What in the holy hell... I just always assumed it was, y'know, Donkey Kong.

I was excited, then I realized I saw this on Twitch already. Always a treat, though.

Jeremy Parish keeps stating that the NES was designed to play a perfect game of Donkey Kong... of course then the factory got cut anyway...

I just rescued an Intellivision and a NES Power Pad from the trash while helping clean out a family member's house, so what better way to cap off this kind of banner day than watching this video?

I love, love, love the gameboy version of Donkey Kong. Needless to say it was great to see Jeff have the same enthusiasm for it.

Gameboy DK / Donkey Kong '94 is incredible. It has 101 levels, some unique systems, and a whole heck of a lot of charm. It's far and away my favorite game featuring Mario.

Donkey Kong gameboy did end up getting a sequel: Mario vs. Donkey Kong, on GBA. It, also, owned.

I wouldn't bother with March Of The Minis though.

Sadly MvDK wasn't as good as DK.

Huh, I guess the first Mario VS Donkey Kong game they made for the GBA was based off of this Game Boy version. I never knew. It even has the hand stand thing and the backflip, cool.

Also going to agree that DK for the Gameboy is ironically amazing and still holds up today. Fantastic game with tons of variability, unique puzzles etc...

One of the first VC games I got for the Wii was Donkey Kong for the GB. I never owned the game, but played it on a friends GB. It still holds up as an excellent puzzle platformer.

I could listen to Jeff talk about just about anything, but I'm glad he focused today on Donkey Kong Through the Ages.

Thanks to watching this stream I had to break out Donkey Kong Classics for the NES and try my hand and I'm happy to report I can still make it through the first "Level" of both DK and DKJ without dying (not stages of which there are 3 and 4 respectively). Although, I gotta admit...every time I see the cement factory (or rather PIE factory) I get a bit weirded out since that level was cut from the NES.

I'd never seen Donkey Kong 3 before watching this video. It's weird that Nintendo turned that game into a shooter.

I also played mostly the Atari 8 bit versions, hearing those particular sounds was like being in a time machine.

It's weird how good you remember things being when you were a kid, and how sometimes it matches up, and sometimes it doesn't. 8-bit Atari was exactly as I remembered it, but I remember when I and my friends would to go Service Merchandise and play it on the display colecovision as kids, and we really felt like that version was arcade perfect. Wow is it not at all seeing it here, even has the tv shortened 1st level where the ladder is on the wrong side. And those ones where the rivets level only had 3 levels is crazeeeeeee.

That hudsonsoft game gave me such phoenix / pleaides vibes with the way the enemies moved and shot more than DK3.

Nasty Tree Level 5 was the best Prince bootleg.

I played a ton of Donkey Kong on the gameboy, such that I assumed it was the genesis of all the acrobatics Mario does in Mario 64.
