I just downloaded it, hope it is awesome. I love Telltale.

I actually kinda want this, even though I'm terrible at adventure games.

Not familiar with this series, but it looks interesting. May give it a chance.

So sad that when the franchise is finally revived, it's done in a way that I can't appreciate. I strongly prefer the old 2D art. I don't feel this at all, and I've been a fan of the series for 20+ years. 

Still wish it was 2d...

The game is brilliant and I am entirely impatient in waiting for the next episode to be released. I just cannot get enough of it now and in a weird way, this has gotten me into TellTale's other games too. I hadn't really got into them after so many years without adventure games and now here I am, considering buying their entire library right now....

That was an OK review, but I much prefer Jeff's (and some of Brad's) reviews, because he seems to be the most comfortable and doesn't seem to be reading off a script.  This game looks all right, if you take it for what it is, I think. If you're going in for an extension of the old games, you'll probably be mildly disappointed.

If I've said it once I've said it a gajilion times 3D is REALLY hard to pass emotion and comedy with. If not impossible to put across with comedy unless you have a staff of hundreds working on it and years to dedicate to it.

2D is far more expressive and far more involving with a smaller team. Just because it's 2009 does NOT mean that 2D is dead. In fact...I'm still playing Flashback, Out of this World, Shinobi, Full Throttle, and countless more and enjoying them IMMENSELY more than most of the titles released lately.

Hell who doesn't enjoy a side scrolling shooter like Contra, or a vertical scrolling shooter like Robo Aleste?

Love the old games but I just can't see myself playing adventure games in this day and age

The first 30 minutes has been great. There are very few games my GF can appreciate on any level, the dialogue in this has been an instant hit which is good because I plan on playing every episode and then going back and playing some of the earlier MI titles again too ;).

Dude, it's a great start, but I'm just glad I didn't see this review before starting up my adventure. LeChuck transforming was a huge shock to me.

I loved the original series.  I might get this later on down the road, though.

I hope it'll come out to PSN eventually

Actually, I didn't realize this game was being made. I heard about the XBLA return of Monkey Island, but this is a brand new adventure, a welcome return. I want to check this out now.

Odd video review. Ryan just read the the text review with gameplay video from the game. It all seemed a bit stiff and unnatural.

But really,

I play through it right now and so far it's a blast!
It's simply a lot of fun, the dialogue is rhetorical yet wittiful and the puzzles are cleverly designed.
Recommended!

Just finished it and proudly without having to look anything up! was very funny and glad I have another 4 of these to come. Definitly kept the charm of the previous games.

I just picked this up and I have to say it's fantastic. This is the first adventure game I've really played..other than Indigo Prophecy if that counts? Anyways, Ryan Davis, REVIEW THE OTHER EPISODES PLEASE

This was the first game of the Monkey island series i have played, and i got to say i enjoyed  every second of it, from its puzzling puzzles to its cracky jokes,  this has to be one of the best adventure games i had play in a long time and iam looking forward to more.
