The story mode characters are like some kinda creepy ass staged mannquins.

I haven't cared for DOA in a looooooong time, also that story stuff looks pretty horrible. But if fighting games is your thing I guess this is something... I don't know. :S

I don't mind the franchise. Two I like playing most is Bayman and Helena but I would have to say out of all the 3d fighting game franchises, this series seams to be the most broken in its fighting mechanics. Still fun none the less.

I feel like we need a bad dub version of the cutscenes.
Edit: I loving the self wiki, but saw the day coming when they would educate through DOA.

I feel bad for some of the voice actors because they done better roles in other games.

@Haze: I thought Team Ninja just did the graphics for Other M and people from Nintendo worked on the story?

Horrible English VA and ugly cutscenes aside, the game doesn't look bad at all. It is a shame they're still doing the unlockable characters thing though.
 
@Generiko: Yeah, Yoshio Sakamoto. Also wrote for and worked on other Metroid games.

Wait a minute. Team Ninja made Other M... Ridley's in DoA: Dimensions... There was a Spartan in DoA 4 because of the collab with Bungie...

why is ridley in this game, and why is there metroid music in this game?!

I have DOA4, never got into it because I found it a little hard, but watching the quicklook has convinced me to give it another shot. This has probably been Jeff's best quicklook in a while, hopefully he's on the mend. DOA: Dimensions actually looks like a really good fighting game, it's a shame that most 3DS games won't have the budget to get good or well known voice actors. 
 People have to remember that developers aren't stupid, they know when they have good or bad voice acting, they just know that their time and budget is limited and they have to work with what they can get and if all they can get is crappy voice actors, then you get DOA story lines.

I want a half-hour documentary showing how a fighting game gets written. This is bananas and my mind can't comprehend how it could come together.

I love Dead or Alive, all of the games are fun to play have a dumb ass story but I love them to shit! Seeing Jeff knows more about Dead or ALive than he should is suprising but hell, whateer!

The cutscenes are like a kid voicing Barbie dolls in a make-believe fantasy.

The cutscenes freak me out.

Bayonetta used a similar style for a lot of its cut-scenes too, its pretty jarring see everything bar minor details like hair not being animated.   
 
I do like the move list implementation they seem to be using for all the handheld fighters now, gone are the days when I could sit there and learn all of Kings throws in Tekken.

Oh my God, that was actually Ridley. I thought that was just some crazy DoA stuff, but then the music kicked in, and it was actually Ridley.

Why was Ridley there?

Cool, looks like a decent game. I would get it if I had a 3DS. I wonder why they made the lower screen on the 3DS smaller than the upper one, the DS had same size on both screens, was it to reduce cost or summtin? meh... Nintendo

dead or alive 3 was the best I miss dead or alive I might get a 3ds just for this

I have this, and it's actually a pretty fun fighting game with some varied game modes, and the online works quite well. The way you get new costumes and challenges via SpotPass is a cool integration of the 3DS functionality too.

I will readily admit though, that the cutscenes in the story mode are silly and not done very well, eh, but whatever. Goofy fighting game stories are par for the course. I did like how the story mode teaches you how to play as you go along, and the way it always shows you the move list is helpful.

And man, that Metroid stuff is a total WTF. It's so weird that all that made it into this game.
