As much of a "wtf were people thinking!" that elicited from me, I gotta admit that's how the real show goes a lot of the time. So, you know, by that measure rag on the infinite chat if you must, but that's what happens when you ask only 100 random people questions.

Let this be a lesson in why sample size matters when it comes to statics!
