@brad May I recommend you check out Pulsar: Lost Colony? It's kind if Sea of Thieves in Space (sans annoying enemy players and more traditional missions) and has very good spaceships. It's made by a very small team and still in development, but I've enjoyed it a lot despite all the jank.

It's really nice hearing Brad just monologue to camera about stuff he likes. Perhaps it's partly my nostalgia for the old GameSpot video review days talking but there's something very comforting about it. Also dude just speaks well.

Much like Brad, I'm a huge fan of Outer Wilds and Tetris 99. Personally I absolutely love the Zelda remix theme, it doesn't make top spot for me but it comes in probably third to Splatoon at #1 and Kirby at #2.

I do love the throwback theme a ton, it has that nostalgia factor and that event weekend was where I got my first ever Tetris Maximus, but it's readability isn't quite as good thanks to the monochromatic style so I don't actually use it too often.

They should add the Tetris Battle Gaiden stages and music to Tetris 99.

I would love Brad to find a regular feature he could lead like this. He makes a good foil for group features but he has such a compelling, soothing presence alone or in duos. Brad alone or with Jan for a new regular feature in 2020 please!

Mastering controlling the Outer Wilds ship was such a satisfying experience! In my top 5 of all time, for that and many other reasons.

Good videos, good picks! Buuuuuut if the Fire Emblem music doesn't do it for you, you are the problem.

Props to Remedy! Control is a hell of a game. The combat sequences are strong and varied but ultimately not without its flaws.

It wasn't mentioned here, but whenever the Game Boy Tetris skin was mentioned on the Bombcast Jeff would say that its rendition of the theme song wasn't accurate, but I never got an explanation of what was wrong in it? What was played in here sounded accurate to me.

@antime: I was stunned he didn’t include it because he seemed very impressed by it during the Quick Look. Personally it’s my favorite spaceship in games since maybe TIE Fighter.

I'm somewhat of a space truck enthusiast myself.

I have this strange issue with the video player as of late. Whenever I load these game of the year videos the audio starts playing before I do anything then when I hit play a 2nd instance of audio starts up with the video creating a 1-2 second delay with the video. If the video has already been played then the audio from when I load the page always starts at the beginning and the audio from the (2nd instance aka when I actually hit play ) resumes from the last played position. I have to load the video infinitely until it stops.
