FFXIV is the game I think might be my favorite of all time. Its pretty good.

I've always been a console gamer, and can't imagine using WASD to move, but I figured there has to have been a left hand analogue stick to use with a mouse for aiming, it seems like a completely natural idea, but the PC gamers on the show seem to say that no one has really tried that. It doesn't seem like there would be any drawbacks to moving with an analogue stick over WASD, but I'm not a shooter player, or a PC gamer, so who knows?

Regarding mouse building, there's an open source mouse (and trackballs) made by Ploopy that uses QMK. You can buy full kits or 3D print parts yourself.

The first thing that came to mind when analogue movement on keyboard came up is the Wooting One which I think used optical switches. Don't think it really caught on. Apparently Razer has a keyboard too, the Huntsman V2 Analog which also uses optical switches. I've also seen something called an Azeron keypad which is this weird looking thing which has an analogue stick and a bunch of strange buttons.

Weirdly, I mostly remember sort of half-gamepads with a mouse attached that were for consoles (PS3 and 360-era), but I don't know that they were on PC.

As much as I enjoyed the Halo Infinite multiplayer, I stopped playing it once I saw how bad the progression and xp system was. The new changes look like things are headed in the right direction, but they need to do more before it becomes the online experience I'll spend a lot of time on. Oh well, back to Black Ops Zombies. Also the fact that the game started out huge on Twitch only to tank in streams days later suggest that I wasn't alone in dropping it. And yes, the game is going to get a huge push in the eSports community and a lot of updates and changes will be to satisfy those pro players.

I've been yelling into the void about haptic feedback on mice for years! Give me haptic feedback on a vertical mouse and I'll be in PC gaming heaven

I don’t understand one bit why the Halo progression system even matters? I’m kind of glad to not have to care and just play the fun game they made.

@jeff if you liked gog galaxy, I strongly recommend checking out playnite. it's literally everything gog galaxy could dream to be.

Halo Infinite multiplayer is the most fun I've had playing a competitive shooter in so many years. I play and grind COD every year, but the amount of progression in COD just feels like I'm working, and especially now that I need to be able to change my Warzone loadout for new meta. Having a stripped-down pure gameplay of a game like Halo Infinite is a breath of fresh air.

I guess I can understand differentiating between the Witcher show, games, and their basis because the games are a continuation of the story and pick up some time after the final book ended. The TV series is telling the story from the books.

Since I'm talking about the Witcher - they use a lot of different currencies for different places. Orens, florens, crowns. Those are the ones I recall. In W3 since Nilfgard was in charge everything is crowns, or traded into crowns at a bank.

Zeny is the currency in Ragnarok Online, which is what I always think of.

Not saying you should have to subject yourself to trash, but... leaving a theater after a mere 10 minutes is a real strange choice. Like, just the act of having to physically travel to the theater should kick in the sunk cost fallacy to stay longer than that.

Haptic feedback on mice would be awful. Honestly, I've never understood the appeal of rumble. I don't hate it, but I never miss it, being a primarily PC user.

Might have more thoughts later. I made it 7 minutes in and had to pause it to listen to the Moana Soundtrack.
