Man, I really enjoyed this last bombcast, really appreciate you guys got one more in before the year ends. Thanks for the trip that was 2018, really looking forward to game of the year and what you guys have coming 2019.

The Heroes of the Storm stuff is really disappointing. I played close to 6000 matches in this game. I really love it. Usually, it never took more than 1 to 2 minutes (at low times) to get into a match, so the player base seems to have been there (sure, not on a LoL or Dota2 level). I will keep playing and see what happens, but its another baffling decision from Blizzard.

Super tight episode this week, a real good one. I appreciate getting the wrestling out in front and then sticking to the topics. The chicken story just slayed me(As another picky eater, that fake chicken stuff won't work if your kid is enough of a know-it-all. I resented the deceit for years). I Lookin forward to all the GOTY stuff!

Whoever wrote in about how certain characters in classic mode unlock specific characters was wrong about that. For example when I played classic as Yoshi I unlocked Sonic, not Lucario.

Also...side note...I think rebalancing games and then tearing ist all down because that fans don't like it is short sighted.

I suppose it does come down to if the change you made was logical and for a reason or if it wa sthere to just "make more money" or "sell more DLC". If the weapon balance was changed to maketeh game fair...balanced...functional...then screw those fan who complained. Easier to kill newbies is not a 'good balance' either.

So I say as long as the rebalance is not if making more money through DLC, then rebalance to make things fair and logial. Especially don't placate a bunch of jerks by taking away a though through update; especially, if your ENTIRE fanbase is jerks. That how you train your puppies to piddle on the rug.

I was really glad Battlefield 5 changed the TTK back. There are so many bugs and issues with the game and that have plagued the game for years that BF veterans are just used to while new users may find extremely frustrating.

Also blanket damage reduction didn't seem like it would fix the problem because even though the new players weren't dying as fast chances are they aren't killing anyone either. Also after the change so many people just seemed to switch to shotguns because they were now able to close distance with a 1 hit kill weapon, which was also frustrating.

@2headedninja: Dan's quick look of Heroes of the Storm is what got me into the game in the first place. I regularly watched HGC but was always aware that the viewer count most times was around 2K people which is very low. Even the Blizzcon finals only drew about 10K viewers. Hots was the perfect moba for me to get into as both a player and as a viewer of the pro scene compared to Dota or League.

Gotta say this was a rough one. I downloaded this before going running and it's real difficult to push the skip forward button when you're moving and your phone is strapped to your arm. Slow week I guess.

Trying to look back and think if the wrestling talk is worse than the 40 minutes of DOTA talk Brad used to subject us to back in the day and it's a tough choice.

I don't know about the other folks suing Fortnite over dance moves, I can understand 2 Milly. Not only that was his dance, "Milly Rock" was a song about the dance, and also had a music video about the dance, which makes his case legit in my book.

Hasn't Dan admitted to farting on his fellow employees at Game Informer? Didn't Jason elude to that while Jeff and Ben were outraging against the Riot COO?

I love the flavor that chicken skin provides, but the idea of making a meal out of just that is revolting to me.

Smash patch notes remain needlessly infuriating. “Game balance adjustments” is a slap to the face for anyone who wants to actually know how the hell their favorite characters have been buffed or nerfed. Seriously, goddamn Splatoon and Arms give a detailed breakdown on how they changed everything, but the Smash dev team is content with this pointless obfuscation. There’s no reason they can’t give a point-by-point changelog like just about every other competitive game on the market.

Jeff's Chris Berman in KH joke went unnoticed and it was hilarious.

There were some pretty ridiculous reactions to the HotS news when it first broke. I read comments claiming that Blizzard was being foolish for killing off "one of the most watched tournaments on Twitch" and that they were going to piss off "millions" of people. I don't know if they were straight-up lying and knew it, or if they were so encased in their own bubble that they don't realize how wrong they were. Also saw claims that HotS was the only esport they followed and they were now done with esports, but that's more of a personal preference sort of thing.

Battlefield V is the first Battlefield I've played since 4, which I bought because of that $30 sale, and I'm actually enjoying it. I'd rather it was modern warfare than WW2, personally, but I guess that's because I don't play all of these so I'm not "tired" of that yet. Funnily enough, I managed to not play the game during this window of the changed TTK so I didn't even know about it.

The people who complain about and make fun of the competitive Smash scene rules being unfun and lame and whatnot come off as being bigger fun arbiters than the actual competitive scene that they're complaining about. Let people enjoy what they want to. I think both ways (items/no items and etc) can be fun and both have their time and place.

Ben saying that Smash's patch notes are bad because "you guys have a list of what you did" is funny, because there was a commotion in WoW about this last week. 8.1 came out, and there were plenty of undocumented changes, some pretty important. Blizzard's excuse for this was that they had made so many changes, some months ago, that they had forgotten to write them down.

Yeah, it's legitimately infuriating. I'm far from a competitive player, but I really like the game and when a new patch comes out I want to know if the characters I like are different and if I need to adjust to that. Saying "hey some characters were changed" is not constructive at all and is a baffling decision/

Really interesting to hear the difference between GB's coverage of the HotS news and coverage from people who are actually into the game. Yeah, some of the reactions are ridiculous, like saying Blizzard is making a bunch of people have to find new work. Blizzard still went about this in a pretty shitty way, made worse by the fact that they JUST had their big game convention.

Good on Jeff and everyone else for taking a public stand on this Riot news.

If your kid only wants to eat certain things, it is your job as a parent to be the adult in the situation. Your kid only eating chicken nuggets for 15 years (to reference a story that got considerable news coverage) is a failure on YOUR part, not your child's.
