    Resident Evil 4 Retrospective

As this game being one of my favorite games of all time, i felt like i had to review it.

Story: You play as Leon S. Kennedy, and you're on a mission to save the presidents daughter (Ashley Graham) who has disappeared by some reason. But there's more to it than that; the villagers have gone crazy and you have to find out why, and a past friend appears too.

Gameplay: This is were RE4 really shines, it's a survival-horror game but it's more of a action-third-person-survival-shooter. Now the horror have it's ups and downs how it is creepy at times and other times, well then they're trying too hard to scare you but it doesn't work very well. Anyway, the shooting and action is great--one button pulls up your gun, and the A button (X for PS2) to shoot, the laser sight is your aim (A cursor for Wii) and aiming feels great. Also theres the Austraulian merchant which you can buy weapons from, upgrade and sell items you pick up. This feature makes the game have a lot more replaybility.

Theres also alot of bonus content like Mercenaries (A survival kinda game) Assignment Ada (An hour long mission where you play as Ada) Movie browser and Seperate Ways for Wii and PS2 (A 3-4 hour game mode where you play as Ada and sees what she did for the most of the time).

Graphics: While a little old by now they are still great, character models looks great and great artistic design. Though the textures are a bit washed out.

So in the end, RE4 is one of the best games of all time and a must-buy for the Gamecube, PS2 and Wii.

I Have been playing Resident Evil 4 since the release year of 2005. It is in "My Top 10 Favorite Games of All Time" And well deserved! I originally bought it on the Gamecube and beat the game easily 10 times (Obtaining every Secret). When I bought My Wii and heard that they were Re-Releasing Resident Evil 4, I had to go and get it. When I popped the game in for the first time, I didn't expect what I got. That game that I came to love only got BETTER! With increased Graphics, All the exclusives f...

Resident Evil at its absolute best 0

There's not much that can be said about this game that hasn't already been said in the GC/PS2 versions, but it's just simply put, THE best version of this game to date. And if you don't own RE4 for any other system already, then buy this. Even if u have beaten it. The entire premise of this version is for mainly the GC owners that got SHAFTED of the extra features that the PS2 version was given. Now the Nintendo fans get the extra features, which although not overwhelming, put a nice tou...
