The Ratchet & Clank series developed by Insomniac Games continues its success, by giving the fans the best from the previous installments, but also improving on the major gameplay elements.
In most Ratchet & Clank games, the player is able to choose between two different, but functionally identical (except in the original Ratchet & Clank), backpack modes for Clank. The Heli-Pack triggers a number of propellers, which allow for an extended glide, whereas the Thruster-Pack projects jet exhaust out of Clank's feet while transforming his arms into wings. It is my well-reasoned hypothesis that the choice of which type of glide a player uses says a lot about the quality of their character as a human being.
While I can appreciate the Heli-Pack's general mechanical geary-ness, I ultimately prefer the Thruster-Pack. I feel that both Ratchet and Clank are characters that appreciate high-performance machines, and that's what a winged, rocket-fueled Clank backpack represents. Also, I love to see how the smoke trails improve with every iteration of the franchise.
What kind of people are here on Giant Bomb? Beautiful Thruster-Pack master race people? Or filthy Heli-Pack peasant people?
