5parrowhawk: Collection
Completed a couple of times.
Blah, I couldn't get into this. Although it's nice as a DS tech demo.
Completed, at least twice.
Completed, several times over. I think this is possibly the game I've played most on long trips, with the possible exception of SRW OG2.
Bah, I couldn't get into this installment. The lack of the radar was just too much - I found that my in-game situational awareness was pretty bad, and kept walking in front of guards without realising they were there. Quit in frustration. Maybe I should try playing it from a first-person perspective and turning up the sound a bit, 'cause I didn't have that problem with Thief II.
Completed (PC version). Raiden wasn't THAT annoying, and he did get hilariously humiliated near the end, so it's all good. Plus, "FISSION MAILED" was awesome.
Completed (the PC version). I wish they'd done more with the NPC AI, but the game is still a classic.
Completed, a couple of times over. This was lots of fun, partly because I was born and bred on the old tabletop game...
Yes, it is as bad as people say it is. Did anyone hear about whether there was a major gameplay patch? I might pick it up again if there was, because I felt like there was a good game buried under all the ordure. Unfortunately, it's buried really, really deep.
Loved this. It's got all the crunchy, crispy, fattening bits of "strategy" games rolled into one. The strategic layer doesn't feel THAT deep, but assembling an invincible juggernaut never gets old. I ought to see if I can make it run on my modern XP-based machine.
Not completed for 2 main reasons: (1) inconsistent gameworld (why am I wearing military body armour and carrying a shit ton of weapons into this really fancy government facility?) and (2) gritty combat style just doesn't fit the "heroic" tone of the narrative. Call of Duty 4 felt more heroic than this, and this is supposed to be about saving the galaxy, for crying out loud. I really wish I could look past those flaws, because the core game seems really good, but...
Bleh, overhyped. It's fun with a bunch of friends, but most of my friends are PC gamers who don't own a DS. The single player simply got dull for me really, really quick.
I should start playing this. I picked it up out of a bargain bin and it's been sitting on my shelf for awhile...
Not sure whether this is my favourite console game ever, but it comes pretty close. I have the GC and XBLA versions. Of course, I haven't 1CC'd it yet.
Heh. This game really was overhyped, but apart from that it wasn't all bad - a fairly entertaining B-grade game with AAA-grade hype resulting in an F-grade PR trainwreck. If people figure out how to mod the multiplayer (forget whether there's LAN play) it could have unexpected legs. Not completed, mostly because better games came along.
Possibly the only good Gundam game in English. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. Completed.
Completed both campaigns. Fun while it lasted, and more than worth the price of admission. Although I couldn't shake the feeling that the developers originally *really* wanted to make it an adult game...
Completed. Not a bad game, but really short. And the "E" rating is pretty weird given the sheer volume of innuendo floating around... maybe they thought kids wouldn't pick up on it.
Have the DS version, all levels unlocked. Got quite a number of golds, but I can't be bothered to go for all golds. Guess I'm done with this one.
Not completed. Here's another game that I really ought to finish.
Completed. I really liked this.
Completed. It was good, but the randomness kind of gets to you...
Not completed.
Completed (the original campaign).
I find myself spending more time painting than racing...
Completed.
Completed.
Completed. This is probably my favourite Final Fantasy next to VI.
Not completed. In theory I like what they did with the dress spheres, etc, but in practice it kind of ended up "meh".
Completed.
Completed.
Completed. Wish they'd made the materia system a bit deeper though.
Completed.
Completed. I don't recall whether I actually finished Cheerleader mode, though...
OUENDAAAAAAAN! The guy at the shop actually yelled that when I brought it to the register :) Completed on all difficulties - yes, including Cheerleader.
Somehow I still like the Ouendan better, but this was pretty awesome in its own right. Completed on Normal and Hard - I forget whether I actually finished it on Diva.
Completed. And it was glorious. EDF2017 pales in comparison to the epicness of the final battle in this one.
Completed. I still think EDF2 for the PS2 was better...
Not completed. I almost wonder if it would be better as a pure adventure game.
Completed. Haven't touched Etna's Story yet, though.
Completed.
Completed.
Completed with Sorc and Pally.
Lots of fun! Still haven't got to the upper star rankings yet. But the Compose mode is actually pretty damn good now.
Bleah, wasn't quite worth it. Nintendo kind of dropped the ball on this one.
Not really completed, but I unlocked all the songs except the last one (you need to have ridiculously fast fingers to win the final recording...)
Not completed. Somehow I just lost interest. It's a really good game though.
Completed. The thing I remember most about this game was the sound. On a good set of speakers and a good sound card, it was pretty epic.
Completed with all factions.
Completed. Possibly the best RTS expansion ever.
Completed. I really liked this one. The expansion made it even better.
Completed... I think. I don't remember finishing the Scrin campaign though...
Completed. Yes, I actually bought all of these games separately. And then bought them again when First Decade came out. So sue me.
Completed.
Completed. Not as bad as people made it out to be...
This was where the series started getting over-complicated...
This is probably the first VGA game I ever played, as well as the first game that actually got me to upgrade my PC (the old one didn't have enough RAM).
Not completed - if by "completed" you mean "capture every card". But this is really a great game.
I don't think I ever managed to 1CC this on Normal...
1CC'd arcade mode (*sweat*) on normal. Like I said, I suck at fighters.
1CC'd on Normal. Highly recommended if you are new to this whole shootan gaemz thang.
1CC'd on normal. I still like this a lot.
1CC'd on easy, can't do it on normal. Bleh.
I actually have the PC (Japanese) version, not the Wii version. Haven't 1CC'd it yet though.
Haven't 1CC'd it yet. The voice acting is... epic.
Not completed. I actually suck at fighters, but was curious since (1) this is a Treasure production and (2) swords are cool!
Completed, but not with the "best" ending.
Completed.
Completed.
Completed.
You know, I can't remember if I actually finished this.
Completed. Even though it wasn't as fun as the previous one...
Not completed.
Not completed. The skirmish mode was more interesting than the campaigns.
Completed.
Completed.
Completed.
Completed.
Completed. Somehow the story wasn't as good as 4 and 5...
Completed.
Completed. I really like the way they did the story in this one.
Completed.
Completed.
Stopped playing 'cause I got MHP2G.
Completed. It's nice that they tried to do something different with the story setting, but...
Completed. BNGI, can we get Armana as a playable character in OG3?
Completed. Several times over, not counting OGs.
Actually, my version is the PSP one. Still not completed.
Not completed.
Still not completed. Must do so sometime.
Not completed. I keep getting distracted by the silly card game...
