Your Most Wanted Achievements (8/15 - 8/21)

'Splosion Man's slipping down the list in a big way this week as Madden NFL 10 continues to ride its mainstream popularity to the top of the charts. But there's a weird new entry on the list this week... see for yourself.

I only need three more levels to S-Rank in Shadow Complex.

Top Ten Sets (8/15 - 8/21)

Yep, it's not out until September 9, but The Beatles: Rock Band has already showed up on our top ten list. What's more, we actually don't have the full achievement data for the game because it's currently blocked as private. So someone, somewhere is out there playing the game on a retail console... but it's set up in such a way that you can't see the full achievement list yet. Mysterious! You might remember that Bionic Commando was blocked in the same way, but for some reason it stayed blocked for like a full week after its release.

It looks like the list of trophies for The Beatles: Rock Band has gotten out there, though. Here's a video of someone scrolling through a list of them:

Day Tripper is a pretty funny trophy. Anyway, that brings us to the list of new achievements. Oh, in addition to these all-new sets, some new achievements have also been added to Mass Effect, signaling that some additional DLC is on the way.

No idea what the achievements are, but I can tell you that people are interested in finding out.

New Sets (8/15 - 8/21)

That's... sort of a lot of new stuff. Onward to the indivudal achievements. This week I've decided to include 11 on this top ten list, because the leading achievement is a little strange. It's a secret achievement for Madden NFL 10. I envision people searching the Internet for "Madden NFL 10 secret achievements" or something are ending up there. Thankfully, there's a list of those secret achievemetnts on the comments for that page, so it's probably working out as helpful. Again, we've got some ideas about how to handle secret achievements in the future, so hang tight.

Also, you may have seen that Sony has redesigned the way playstation.com displays trophies. It looks pretty exciting. I sent that stuff along to our engineers. I remain hopeful about trophies. We shall see. And with that, I'm on vacation starting right... about... now!
