US 360 Price Cuts Official On 9/5

On the heels of the Japanese announcement and around a million different retailer leaks, Microsoft has confirmed that all models of the Xbox 360 will be getting a price drop on September 5.

• The Xbox 360 Arcade will drop from $279.99 to $199.
• The middle-of-the-road 60GB Xbox 360 will drop from $349 to $299.
• The 120GB Xbox 360 Elite will move from $449.99 to $399.

That mid-range 360 is the recently added 60GB model, so the original 20GB edition is still on its way out. If you can find them, those are currently going for $299. So be careful that you don't accidentally buy a 20GB when you really want a 60GB.
