Not-E3 2026

E3 is dead. We all know this. And yet, these presentations keep multiplying.

Currently, there are over twenty showcases, directs, or whatever else we're calling these things these days. Not all of them are officially sanctioned by Summer Game Fest, but maybe you'll be interested in some of them.

How the hell are you supposed to keep track of it all? Well, that's why I'm here. I'll give you the short version first and then the long version.

The Time Zone Chart

I've done this for many years now and, yes, I know it's an archaic way of presenting this information. But, every year, I get people asking me if I'll be doing it again and telling me how much they like it. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing. Maybe it actually helps. Regardless, it'd be silly to stop now.

Across the top you'll see the names of showcases. The times below are color coded based on the dates that span across the bottom. Below each title, you'll also have a link to their streaming page and a link to their official web site if you want more info.

A new addition this year is a vertical, phone-friendly version of the chart, which you can see by clicking the "Phone" tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

The Giant Bomb Schedule

Maybe you don't care about anything unless it has a talkover right here on the web site. That's fair. Here's what you can plan for. This chart is also available in the spreadsheet.

The Full List

If you don't like colorful spreadsheets, here's the rundown of the schedule.

AG French Direct

AG French

The French made last year's GOTY, so they get their own presentation now. That's the law. This presentation is said to have over 40 French-made games including Heave Ho 2, Nocturnal 2, and other games from Devolver, Nacon, and Dear Villagers.

Thinky Direct

Thinky

A showcase of over 40 puzzle games.

Insider Gaming Showcase

Insider

This indie showcase plans to have over 50 games with about a dozen world premieres for games looking for publishing deals.

Indie Quest

Indie Quest

A showcase featuring over 30 role-playing games from independent developers.

The MIX

The MIX

This will be the seventh annual showcase from what was formerly known as the Guerrilla Collective, which highlights indie games. There will also be a Steam page highlighting all of the games. They will also be doing an in-person event on June 5th on the roof of the Grammy Museum at LA Live.

Midsummer Nights Scream

Scream

This is an awards show for horror games that doubles as a showcase for upcoming horror games. It's apparently going to be a 2-hour show with around 100 games featured.

Black Voices in Gaming

BVIG

This is the second year that the crew at The MIX (formerly Guerrilla Collective) are presenting this official SGF showcase. Black creators worldwide will be featured.

PlayStation State of Play

SOP

Everyone ready for an hour of Sakurai-level detail on FairGames?!

Latin American Games Showcase

LAGS

The LAG Showcase is set to be an hour of premieres and trailers from Latin American developers. The plan is to show 15 games with 9 world premieres. Their previous showcase was almost entirely in Spanish with some subtitles, so keep that in mind.

Women-Led Games Showcase

WLG

The WLG showcase focuses on studios that are led by women or consist of a majority of women. Their showcase this year plans on showcasing 5 world premieres plus updates on other games.

Access-Ability Showcase

AA

For the fourth year, the Access-Ability Showcase aims to highlight games that feature the best accessibility options as well as games made by disabled developers.

Summer Game Fest

SGF

Geoff Keighley's quest for world domination continues.

Day of the Devs

DD

Presented by Double Fine and iam8bit, the SGF edition of Day of the Devs typically features about a dozen indie games. Conveniently, this broadcast will begin immediately following Geoff Keighley's presentation on the same channel. So, you don't even have to do anything!

Southeast Asian Games Showcase

SEAG

The second year for this official SGF showcase.

Wholesome Direct

Wholesome

One of several showcases that started during the pandemic, the Wholesome Direct is typically an hour-long, rapid-fire showcase of dozens of indie games. A few years ago, it was co-hosted by Mary Kish.

Story Rich Showcase

Story

Fellow Traveller is a publisher of indie games like 1000xResist. This is their first showcase, which plans to focus on... well... story rich games.

Green Games Showcase

Green

This is the second year for this showcase and it was a complete train wreck last year. And not in a good way. It's supposed to focus on games highlight environmental issues. We shall see if that happens this time.

Gayming Pride Parade

Gayming

A brand-new showcase that's officially partnered with SGF, which will focus on LGBTQ+ games and devs.

Future Games Show

Future

For the last several years, GamesRadar has done a presentation that features mostly third-party games that aren't quite big enough to make it onto the bigger events. Usually a few cool things to find here. This year, it's hosted by Troy Baker and Alix Wilton Regan.

Frosty Games Fest

Frosty

It may be summer in Los Angeles, but it's winter in Australia and New Zealand. This is the second year for this official SGF show and it is set to feature an hour of games from Oceania.

Xbox Games Showcase

Xbox

It's a new era for Xbox and it's their 25th anniversary, so they better bring the big guns. We do know that the main presentation this year will be immediately followed with a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day.

PC Gaming Show

PCG

Since 2015, PC Gamer has put on a sometimes funny sometimes cringe-worthy show hosted by Sean "Day[9]" Plott. If you're bad at math, that makes this the 12th one. Once again, it will immediately follow the Xbox presentations on Sunday. It is usually looooong.

Deutsche Indie Showcase

Germany

An indie game presentation focused on developers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

India Games Showcase

India

A new presentation and the only one going on the following Monday after everything else is done.

And that's all of them. If anything else comes up, I'll update this page and the charts. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, lemme know. And never forget...
