The Beatles, Lego: Rock Band News

Can't wait to make my Ziggy Stardust avatar.

After being rumored for quite awhile, Harmonix today made Lego: Rock Band official by issuing a short press release. The game is being developed by TT games, continuing the time-honored gaming tradition of sequel games being passed on to outside dev teams. It's currently slated for a Holiday 2009 release on X360, PS3, Wii and the DS. While I'm excited about the game, I'm more excited that enterprising Giant Bomber skrutop is so quick with editing that you can find news and info about it on a pretty fleshed out wiki page already. Also on the Rock Band front, Harmonix earlier released the official box-shot for The Beatles: Rock Band. Despite my love of eveything Lego it's this later game that I'm a little more pumped for. Having growing up with The Beatles since before I even knew what Legos were I'm looking forward to jamming out to some White Album-era Fab Four. The photo used for the box looks like footage from Hard Days Night, which isn't surprising since the vintage black and white sets a romantic tone, but let's hope they're not focusing too heavily on the early stuff for that game's setlist. With 45 tunes though we should be ok.
