That Bloody Roar 5 News Wasn't Real

Commentary
Bloody Roar's signature thing was characters who were able to transform into animals.

You may not remember Bloody Roar, but you probably remember a fighting series with animals! That was Bloody Roar, and fans were spun into a frenzy on Friday afternoon when a seemingly official Twitter account from developer Hudson Soft declared Bloody Roar 5 a reality.

Just days later, the news has been debunked; whoever's in control of that account post-Konami takeover was simply screwing with people.

"Sorry people," read an update just hours ago. "Just wanted to show @Konami that their is still fans of #BloodyRoar."

Dream another day, Bloody Roar fans.

Bloody Roar was (is?) a fighting franchise published by Hudson Soft, starting with an arcade release in 1997. Bloody Roar 4 was released on 2003 on PlayStation 2.
