General consensus seems to be that it's just a foam mock-up, which is sad, but not sad enough to stop me from imagining trying to play Super Mario Bros. 3 with that thing, or even better, what Super Mario Bros. 3 would've looked like if it had been designed with that thing in mind. Hopefully it also doesn't stop some resourceful DIYer from making this a reality.
