Apparently, GameStop has bought the not-so-French-sounding chain Micromania. Micromania? I thought you get your baguettes cut off or something if you try to dilute the vernacular with too many English words. Well, regardless, GameStop will soon own the largest video game retailer in all of France. That's 332 outlets! That's also 332 opportunities for someone to stare at the ceiling, sigh, and ask you if you preordered. I'm sure that whole experience seems even more condescending and apathetic in French. Awesome.
You know, really it's kind of selfish, but the last thing I want to see when I roll through Paris is a damn GameStop. I know you guys already tried to burn down all the McDonalds and stuff, and it's a hard battle, but Vive La Resistance! If the idea of a North American retailer dominating your video game sales doesn't stir up some passion, may I also add that they are being funded, in part, by Bank of America.
