In light of our current economic slump, Amazon.com has launched a casual games store that promises "over 600 games at $9.99 or less." If your bank account is feeling the burn and you're into stuff like Peggle, you might want to check it out.

At the least, you can give it a quick whirl at no entry cost. For a "limited time," you can get these games for free.

  • Jewel Quest II, a matching puzzle game
  • Build-a-lot, a house building simulation game
  • The Scruffs, a seek-and-find object game

So get over there if you're looking for a little light amusement on the cheap--or in this case, free.
