I have been looking forward to this for a long time.

I was secretly hoping it would be releasing on PS4 so i had somthing to play on it (and really stress out that GPU) but this will be a day 1 purchase on PC for me.

Reminds me of the fencing in Pirates on the C64 for some reason. Which is pretty cool!

I've read that, unlike some other terrific sword-based indie games, this actually has online support. Looks like a day one purchase to me.

I remember a game called Swashbuckler, or something like that, on the Apple2+. I just looked it up, not similar in any way, but I wish this game was what I had back then.

Anyone know if this game is local multiplayer only? Or does it do a Divekick style quick match?

Supposedly it will have both an AI opponent available as well as online play.

It does have online multiplayer, but the netcode is still a bit buggy. They are still working on it, but maybe keep an eye on the forums for updates.

I played it this afternoon right after it came out for a couple of hours and had an absolute blast. It's super fun, and matches can swing back and forth multiple times resulting in lots of "damn it I was inches away from winning and now I'm going to lose no wait I'm back" type moments.

Tonight though... Ugh. Tonight I tried to play and the lag was so terrible that it wasn't fun at all. Think "I hit the jump button but it didn't jump and now I'm 5 steps behind were I was before" type rubberbanding/unresponsiveness. When it works it's incredible, but the netcode seems pretty terrible at this point. If you're going to be able to play it locally a ton you'll love it, but the jury's still out on the online part.

That was a major factor in my purchasing decision.
