    Overview

    Ness's mom is a supporting character in EarthBound. A housewife, she is always found at home, and is fully behind Ness as he embarks on his quest. Whenever Ness returns home, she encourages her son to eat a helping of his favorite food before getting some rest.

    Ness's mom can also be called on the phone when away from the house. If Ness goes too long without talking to his mother, he may become afflicted with homesickness, which can impair his combat performance. But if Ness gives his mom a call, the conversation will cure it instantly.
