    Overview

Moai are statues created by the Rapa Nui tribe in the Chilean territory of Easter Island sometime after 1250 AD.

In the realm of games, they've been most significantly featured in Konami's Gradius series; even appearing as mascot for the series in Konami crossover games such as DreamMix TV World Fighters and Konami Krazy Racers.

It has been memorialized as a pair of Pokémon since Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, as Nosepass and its evolved form Probopass.
