Laggy servers are really starting to piss me off because I have yet to find a server that doesn't have teleporting zombies so now I have just given up on looking for one. Playing singleplayer is getting boring and frustrating, I want 4 player co-op godamnit!

Anyone else having problems with laggy Dedicated servers?

Playing with a lot of Americans?  No dedicated server can change the fact that thousands of miles separates you from them - try playing with people that are in your own country.

The matchmaking system needs some work. From what I've experienced, it picks servers based on your desired difficulty and campaign with little consideration for ping. Sometimes matchmaking has placed my group in servers where no one has a playable ping. As you'd expect, we all drop and everyones back at square one.

However there is a solution...kind of. Open the server browser through the console. You'll first need to enable the console through the options. I forget what menu it's in, but it's in there somewhere. Anywho, open it up by typing "openserverbrowser" in the console. Find a server with a decent ping and play away. The downside is you'll always be joining a campaign that's already started. If you are playing with a friend you can always find an empty server with a suitable ping and call votes to raise or lower the difficulty level to whatever you desire. It's kind of a hassle, but better than an unplayable lagfest I guess.
