After my first attempt I got some feedback on the forums that the original B.E.A.S.T. mission was to save all 3 stranded Kerbals in one launch! A heck of a lot more difficult than saving just one, so I thought I would see if it's possible since they did deliver a fair amount of fuel to orbit.

One structural change had to be made to the build: the addition of solar panels for power generation. Ot

her than that it's identical to what was in the video.

Full disclosure: HyperEdit and MechJeb were used to teleport the targets and fine-tune their orbits rather than try to fly them out myself. No further flying of the targets occurred even though they had relatively full fuel tanks.

The only structural change is solar panels.

    Very well done sir.

I need to actually try that game properly. I've owned it for a while but only fiddled with it for half an hour or so.

The Beast crew tends to make some questionable choices, but also some interesting ones. It would be too easy for everyone to just tell them exactly how to go about it. Either way, it's always a fun watch.

Yes, the Beast Crew makes bad choices, but they learn from their errors and are making progress. They'll do it eventually!

It would be really cool if you recorded these runs or at least chunks of them. You could use shadow play on geforce experience. It's really easy to use and choose how long of a replay to record. Either way, I like following these great work duder!

I didn't think there would be that much interest, but after the next B.E.A.S.T. video I might do just that - although with whatever the AMD equivalent is. Thanks!

Wow, so aside from solar panels, they actually have everything they need right now to save the 3 lost kerbans?

I guess the biggest difference is in knowing your orbital mechanics then. Huh.

Their rocket design is as inefficient as you can possible make it but you get some base mileage by just selecting the biggest "endgame" parts. The parts they choose for lower earth orbit rescue are stuff you can launch spacestations to the other side of the solar system with.

Awesome duder. I still love the way the boosters peel off when you trigger separation. I don't care it it's the worst design decision, it just looks damn cool (and, let's be honest here, space stuff should look cool).
