Hotline Miami 2 Vinyl Record
I kind of thought about buying this, but the idea of ordering a record before I knew if I'd like it or not was weird to me. Sure the music in the first game was great, but what if I hate it in the sequel? I probably won't, but still. I guess I've kind of always reserved my vinyl collection for albums that I really love. That looks damn cool though, and I'm wondering if I should have ordered it back when I heard about it.
@hatking: I did feel weird buying an album before knowing if the game would be any good. The main reason I bought it is for those colors, especially the green one. They are more vivid then what my shitty camera phone can produce.
@marvogroove: I totally understand. I almost pulled the trigger based on the artwork alone. I also feel weird because I won't actually get a chance to play the game for some time. I'm in middle of building a new PC and currently using an old laptop that's literally falling apart just for internet stuff, and I don't have a PS4 at home. So, it'd be an album I haven't heard for a game I'm not able to play for a couple months. Haha... Maybe I'll track one down after I get around to finishing up this PC.
@marvogroove: I have the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon vinyl and it's the same bright pink. Same with Miami Connection.
Mine came in the mail yesterday too! It's such a ridiculous and beautiful package. It's definitely the coolest collection of vinyl's I own. The soundtrack is pretty good after first listen but doesn't seem as great as HM1... I believe what struck me about the first game was the context of the soundtrack while playing the game. I'm worried about the soundtrack not living up to HM1 but I'm going to give it more time when the game comes out before I write it off. I guess the same sentiments can be said about how I feel about the new game too, hoping it lives up to the first one. I'm still super happy with the vinyls, they did an amazing job with it.
@nightriff: For me it's Future Club by Perturbator.
What is this games "Hydrogen" track? The one track that everyone will just remember.
It's either going to be M|O|O|N - Dust for being the score screen and end credits music or Carpenter Brut - Roller Mobster, as it features in a fairly long and fairly specific level.
Soundtrack is, once again, completely ballin'.
@corevi: @nightriff: For me its Technoir from Perturbator. That song is nightmare inducing filth.
@syndrom: I left my Vita playing the levels yesterday so I could listen to the tracks walking around the city.
I've been looking at this for the past couple days and want to buy it sooooo bad, I just don't think I wanna spend $60+ on it. Still, it looks amazing.
It comes with the digital special edition + remix EP + the full 49 track soundtrack both in FLAC and MP3. There's a lot of really cool stuff with the set and it's well worth the price.
@dudeglove: Miami Disco is great and all, but I'm more of a fan of his stuff that sounds like it dragged itself out of the skeezy alleyway behind the bar after being beaten up by a gang.
I'd absolutely buy the vinyl but it'd cost too much for me. Base cost and cheapest shipping is nearly $100 for me, add on tax and it's just too much.
This is probably one of the few cases in which I'm totally fine with buying a collector's edition based on the soundtrack. No idea whether I'll actually enjoy playing the wrong number as much as the first, but between the tracks I've already heard & the presentation of the vinyl I'm already down for the second pressing.
Well this thread convinced me to do two things:
1. Finally buy a record player that I've had my eye on for about three years
2. Order this soundtrack
Not regretting either of those decisions.
@nightriff: Roller Mobster. It's crazy no one has mentioned it.
