Is anyone else have subtitles only show up during cinematics?

That's happening to me too I think. I assume that's how it's supposed to work. The timing for the subtitles seem to be off for me though. They seem to show up a second or two after the person begins speaking their lines.

There were never subtitles during gameplay in the original. I remember it being hard to hear Cortana sometimes during firefights.

@officer_falcon: Same here on the delay, just turned them off because they were to distracting. Also gameplay needs subtitles cuz dialogue seems pretty low priority in the sound design, at least with my 5.1 set up.
