      Approximately 1000 years ago, Goliath (who at the time was actually nameless) and his brothers were cursed and turned to stone. They were awakened in the year 1994 atop a skyscraper in New York City. So begins the story of the television series, Gargoyles.  
     
    Goliath is best known for two characteristics: He doesn't speak much and he has a very, very hot temper.
