Hey all, i know that as it stands atm game dev story is only out on ipod/iphone, was wondering if anyone had heard anything about it possibly coming to Android phones? i ask coz i really want to play it however Android would really be the only way itll happen.

I agree. I would get it if it came to the android. Plus, we just got Angry Bird's in beta form. I think anything is possible and nothing is exclusive.

I was wondering the same thing.

Seeing as it started out as a Japanese filp-phone game, I suppose it's possible. However, there wasn't much effort put into porting it over to iPhone, so I don't know if they're going to be willing to put in any more effort to port it once again to Android.

When they were talking about the game, I went to google to see if it was on Android, sadly it wasn't. I hope they will bring it over though, because the quality of the games on the Androidplatform is quite questionable in my opinion, most of them is stupid "slide-it" puzzles or those bubble shooters were you are trying to match colors.

I suppose all I can do is declare that I would buy it if it were to come to Android, and hope the devs read this.  :P

Thought id be real smart and try and contact the devs just to ask if they had any plans and mention many people would like to see it on Android, turns out that isnt going to happen unless i learn Japanese... and im not going to learn Japanese.

The android platform fragmentation is causing developers major issues in releasing games on Android. 

It's possible, but it's worth mentioning that Android phones have not been particularly successful in Japan, but iPhones are EVERYWHERE, so it makes sense that they'd go for the area of highest market saturation first.  There's only  a pretty limited number of Android handsets here, and none of them have been particularly good compared to the iPhone.   So I say it's unlikely for the time being, unless they are planning an android launch specifically for the international market.

So they have released a japanese version on Android Market. I hope they're going to translate it!

Game dev story is now on the app market in ENGLISH looks to be 5 dollars, i dont get paid for 2 excruciating days, :( but i now know longer want an iphone! YAY ANDROID

just bought the android version. Had no idea it was out.

oh this is awesome. will be getting my android phone either for christmas or straight after it. so happy about this! 

I randomly stumbled onto this in the Android market yesterday. I had no idea it was out! Bought it instantly from all the Twitter buzz and stuff. 
 
I really like it so far. Although the past three times a staff member has come up to me asking for a boost while working on a game project, I've said yes and dumped all my Research Data into it, and IT HAS FAILED EVERY TIME. ARGH. 
 
Every time my chance has been over 50% too. One time, it was even 80%! HOW DOES IT KEEP FAILING OH GOD

well i got the game and i think its really great. I do get the sense that its going to take me quite a while tho. also some parts seem a bit confusing but overall its pretty amazing.
