So this game released on PC today and somehow made it to the Top Seller list. Even crazier is the trailer. You should watch the trailer if only to be staggered by the marketing choices... Who made this trailer? The people who made the Mighty Number 9 trailer?

Oh, how dare they not include in the $80 "see through their clothes" DLC for purchase in this version. It's an outrage, I'll tell you.

Of course it is. In between all of the Russian money laundering, there's a huge ironic/unironic market for all of those half naked visual novels, or hentai games without the hentai. People on this very site have even dipped their toys into that territory.

Awesome! This isn't a game I'd play but hopefully even more Japanese developers (atlus) follow this Steam trend so I can sell our PS4.

Not meaning to kink shame anyone here I was mostly staggered by the trailer's audacity to use "testimonials" that were basically negative. You don't see this kind of crap in properties like Neptunia or Agarest. Sometimes I just wish we could collectively scrap all current strategies and start from scratch just to purge the terrible that seems to breed in American marketing culture.

@wandrecanada: I mean, they're playing to their base right? This is a niche (not so niche?) title that is kinda beyond mass appeal so they might as well lean into it really hard.

It might not be my type of game, but I stand by its existence and the existence of even creepier, weirder games.
