Which Street Fighter character has the biggest "Rule of cool"

Hey gang,

Like most of you, I'm a BIG Street Fighter fan. I've been playing since World Champions on the SNES, and I've been in love ever since. I played every SF game up 5, when I didnt recognise any of the guys and I didnt play

We all know the biggest part of why Street Fighter has stood the test of time is its bombastic, larger than life characters.

But who is the "Coolest" Street Fighter?

My vote goes to Dan "The SAIKYO LEGEND" Hibiki

As someone that has never played Street Fighter for more than an hour, my uninformed opinion is that R.Mika seems pretty neat. Zangief is also the quintessential big man.

Guile. The man , the hair, the legend.

Brutus the Barber Beefcake. He has Brutus, barber, and beefcake in his name, so he wins by default. Also he has shears in case anything needs a pruning, like begonias or a lemon tree. Now that's cool.

Objectively the coolest:

Ken - Crazy Kicks and all

Guy - A ninja wearing a pair of Nikes

Charlie - Guile, but more stylish

Edit: Oh yeah, Remy's pretty cool too.

Ryu.

He can throw a fireball.

If you wanna talk "cool," you gotta talk Vega. Handsome, vain, slasher-killer mask AND claw, dancer, cad, patron of the arts. He's the total package. Alternately named "Balrog" in what must have been an ironic nickname?

Is he some kind of wizard???

No one in Street Fighter has ever been cool. Except maybe C.Viper. She wears a suit and leather gloves.

Without having played any of the games since arcades in the 90's and early 2000's, my vote goes to Chun-Li with Juri and Akuma as second and third respectively.

Not my favorites, but ones that I think are "cool".

Akira Kazama is going to be added in season 5 of SFV. They seem to be going with her Project Justice outfit as the default, but I think her full biker gear is cooler. It has to be an alternate costume.

On a related note, Skullomania. Skulls are cool. SKULLO DREAM!

@sombre: I was there in the very beginning of the arcade run and that game was a Phenom before we only had karate champ but now the new updated highly competitive PVP fighter was truly A Cut Above the Rest

I always hated the ridiculous knock down trope but beyond that the game was a masterpiece but still would have been much better without the knockdown trope

without a doubt the original characters that created the very best competition where the true martial arts characters

Later in the series I thought it was cool that they brought in a more MMA variance and no one can deny the of the Bruce Lee character

I've actually always thought the cast of SF were kind of lame :P.
However, Q's air of mystery and extremely powerful punches make him stand out to me, even though he's a charge character and i can't play him.

I always liked Vega, except for him being such a creeper in the SF2 movie

Ken, because he has an air of a dude that listens to heay metal while surfing. Also, arguably the best stage theme.

Those vodka swilling Russians in USSR were pretty cool.

But if we're talking playable characters then E. Honda. Walks around in just a bath towel and chills by the bath like a boss.

For sure Dan Hibiki.

Rule of cool? Back in the MvC days, I remember anyone that stepped up to the cabinet and picked Dan to be incredibly competent at the game or never played before.

From super slow wind ups, extremely limited range, to supers that are useless, to his lol raging demon that leaves Dan open to KO by being taunted by Sakura. His entire tool set is all flash, no substance.

If you got beat against someone using Dan in MvC, you got flexed on.
