So a guy made star wars in an anime(and its actually pretty cool)

all credit to the maker of the video. i really like how the animation style is like the 80"s gun dam TV shows and more of the visual flair to make it look like its almost hand drawn.

so what do you think about this i think thats its pretty cool and i wondered how long it must have taken probably to animate all of this.

a ridiculous amount of effort was put into this.

Remember, though, it seems like this was all done by one guy, in his free time, with his own money and resources. That's pretty good.

The art style kinda reminds me of those late 90's sci-fi animes. Pretty damn cool even though I've never been a fan of the Star Wars franchise. Having said that, surely this isn't the first time Star Wars have been done in this style though?

That's pretty great, although the thing that (embarrassingly and immediately) jumped out at me was that it was using a music track from the original KotOR and not actually anything from the movies. It also made me really want to play Tie Fighter.

@ArbitraryWater: it originally had no music but a guy on reddit with the authors permission reposted it with KOTOR music

The cockpit displays are totally straight out of the old TIE Fighter games, nice...

The space battles in the original trilogy are actually all pretty sweet, especially the big clash in the last one. Considering how goddamn old these movies are, it's hard to believe how amazing those battles look.

I mean is there even a single noteworthy space battle within the newer trilogy? I liked those seismic bomb chase scene, but that's pretty much all of it. CGI advancement is great but it's unfortunate that despite that they actually created way less interesting scenarios.

I like the method for showing the faces of the pilots while still technically keeping them in full uniform.

I'm 97.42% sure Lucas mandated that everything EU related has to be set before the original trilogy after the late 90s rocked so fucking hard compared to the prequel, he was left with a compacted colon.

That makes sense. Man some of the books are SO GOOD! It makes me sad. Is it too much to ask to see Corran Horn in a game?

That was pretty sweet. Really did get the feeling of some old-skool Robotech or something like that.
