I have 3.05 credit remaining in my "wallet" from purchasing LA Noire, should i pick this game up for six bucks?
Elite Beat Agents
Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Nov 06, 2006
Elite Beat Agents is a rhythm game for the Nintendo DS developed by iNiS Corp. and published by Nintendo. It is a spiritual sequel to the Japanese only Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, and uses many of the same touch screen based gameplay mechanics.

Your avatar proves you have good taste in television (albeit I reserve the right to revoke that based on your opinion on season 2). This post proves you have good taste in video games. You're gonna go places, duder.
In my world, it's worth 63 times that.@iAmJohn said:
It's worth at least five times that.
Put it this way, here's my investment into the EBA series:
1 Elite Beat Agents, preordered, $29.99
1 Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, imported, $49.99 + ship
3 HP Compaq iPaQ styluses, $7.99
Countless screen protectors, upwards of $20 total
1 Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm-damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2, purchased in Akihabara, approx. $45
1 Nintendo DS lite in Japan-exclusive Enamel Navy, purchased in Akihabara after wandering around Tokyo to find a store with DSes in stock, approx. $225
Total cost: $377.98
That does not even include my original DS (silver) and original American DS lite (Polar White), whose screen was made semi-unresponsive by ridiculous amounts of Ouendan. Or taxes and shipping, for that matter. Or my plane trip to Japan for a vacation. But it was all made worth it when I got the EBA characters in my Ouendan 2 during the promotion week in Japan, and the fact that I got Ouendan 2 and a replacement DS lite.
It is easily my favourite game for the DS, and one of my favourite games of all time. I still play it to this day. The only things in that game that elude me are S-ranks on EBA's final song and Ouendan 2's penultimate song, both on Hard and Insane. These games was practically my video-gaming life during the years from 2006-2009.
Yes, it's sad, I know.
Lol thanks, and i felt stingray was a pretty good new character, but overall the episodes felt shallow@The_Drizzle said:

Yeah, that's a pretty fair assessment, though I can't get behind Stingray's C-rate Venture Bros. knockoff bullshit. But I should probably stop there before I go off into a long rant on why I hated this season!

Also don't import Ouendan 1. 2 is superior in every single way. 1 has unskippable cutscene things before every song.
EDIT: Aw lame it's out of stock on playasia. I'm sure you can find it on ebay somewhere.
Update: Man this game is the bee's knees, is it worth it to import both Ouendan & Ouendan 2? And is there any new on a new Ouendan 3/Elite Beat 2?

If you have money to burn, import both. If you don't, just import Ouendan 2. Ouendan 1 has a better emotional song than any of the other games(Over the Distance), ONE NIGHT CARNIVAL and Kokoro Odoru, which made it worth it for me. Especially because Ouendan 2 didn't exist yet. Ouendan 2 is just the most full-featured game in the series, with everything that EBA has, 3-slot high score boards, ability to save 20 (IIRC) replays from any song (i.e. they can all be from the same one), and it has EBA characters if you use an Action Replay (or a time machine and plane ticket to Japan). Plus, the dancing is much more badass.
And unfortunately no word yet on either. If they announce one for 3DS, I'm buying that and a 3DS in a heartbeat.
