Nice Diversion
I hadn't played Dr. Mario since I was five, so my sixteen year hiatus left me unsure of what I would get out of this product. After an hour of shifting various colored pills to eliminate cocky viruses, I realized how much I love the Dr. Mario formula. I know a lot of people have complained of a lack of multiplayer support, but it is hard for me to be upset of a missing feature that I never had before. If I was a veteran to the series, I'm sure the omission would bother me much more, but at the same time, you get a lot of Dr. Mario goodness for only five dollars. They didn't skimp on the graphics or the presentation, and the game is as solid as it ever was, so it seems that the price-versus-feature-set issue somewhat levels out. But I will say that if Nintendo released a multiplayer only edition for, say, 2 bucks, I would jump on that in a heartbeat. So, basically, Dr. Mario Express is solid, but leaves you wanting more.
