I remember crossing paths with the Diablo franchise for the first time. I was bedridden with the flu and reading a computer games magazine as a young lad. One page featured a tiny ad for Diablo, which pretty much consisted of a screenshot of the monastery entrance. From this moment on until today I have been hooked with Diablo. The flow of the game is unmatched, primarily due to the random loot generation system and the random level generation, as well as the many possible characters you can build due to the very flexible and intersting skill system. Many game have tried to copy to game's formula but they could not push Diablo off the throne, be it Titan Quest, Nox, Dungeon Siege, Throne of Darkness etc. With Diablo III in the tube (I would not count on a release earlier than 2012), Diablo 2:LOD is still on top, except for the graphics which, obviously, are a bit dated by now. Yet, there is an active mod scene, including mods which completey change the feel, flow and look of the game. Unfortunately, I never really enjoyed the Multiplayer and Battle.Net feature because it is ridden with cheats and dupers, apart from people who sacrified the true game experience for "cow runs" etc.

One of the best games ever to be released, a full frontal entertainment package of great replayability and worth every penny !

Yes, that is if you haven't played it yet.Diablo II:LOD is the expansion to Diablo II, adding another act, two new character clas...
