I'm trying to get the Maxed Out Trophy. Anyone know if using the menu cheats for credits/nodes disables unlocking trophies and achievements?

One other question, does fully upgrading a weapon include filling the empty nodes as well?

I don't know from personal experience, but from what I've read the cheats don't disable achievements/trophies.

I know they do for the 360 version of GTAIV. Not sure about PS3.

The only cheat I know for this game is the one that allows you to use have the military suit at begining of any difficulty without having finished said difficulty. But since this is really a glitch and not a cheat I doubt it has any influence on achievements.

There is a cheat for extra nodes? Gah I'm on my third play through now and I still have two guns to upgrade and the stasis module. It takes AGESSSS!

And no apparently you don't need to fill every hole with a node - just make the weapons full strength.

Even with the cheats and selling all my stuff I still can't afford enough nodes. Oh well. When I'm done with Fallout I'll get back on to getting my Platinum trophy.

Hi everyone, first post for me here.

To the original poster, the Node cheat does not affect the Trophies (On the PS3 anyway), I used it and got the trophy.

To everyone else, the cheat is as follows:

To get 5 extra nodes pause the game at any time and enter the following sequence (T = Triangle / S = Square): TSTSSTSSTSST

You should hear a sound confirming you entered it correctly.

Now, if someone wouldn't mind helping me... I've been trying to achieve the Military Suit glitch as posted on this site, but I just can't get it to work. Issac still starts with the default suit. Could my downloadable suits be stopping it from working ? Did anyone else get it to work ? Any tips ?

Oh my! There is a node cheat and it works. So essentially you can just keep doing it to get infinite nodes right?

No, the node cheat only works once per game.

The cheats don't seem to affect Trophies on the PS3, I can't speak to the XBox as I don't own one.

There are more cheats in case anyone is wondering, all can be accessed while the game is paused.

    Add Space Credits

    1000 Credits  - SSSTS

    2000 Credits - SSSTT

    5000 Credits - SSSTST

    10K Credits - STTTSST

The above can only be used once per game

    Refill O2 - SSTTT

    Can use multiple times

Refill Stasis (and Special Ability) Energy - STTST
    Can use multiple times.

Ok TristanMike I love you - so effectively you can get 6 free nodes. Those extra nodes will be a big help I think.

No problems. Another little "secret" that worked was akin to the old RE4 "exploit". If you are low on health, stasis, or ammo, and have some extra nodes, you can go to a bench and when you upgrade said item, it will refill to it's new maximum. So let's say you are almost out of health, don't have any pack (or don't want to use them), you can visit a bench, put some nodes in the next HP upgrade slot and it refills your health to full.

Not the most amazing "exploit" but it works and I've saved a bit of ammo and health doing this.

Wha....? I was filling everything, even the blank ones... I think I would already have completed this challnege if I'd known that.
