Could the previously hailed "Wii exclusive" Dead Space Extraction be coming to 360 and PS3 sometime down the line? [-with their respective motion controllers]  Well, according to producer Steve Papoutsis at Comic Con:
"Right now it's exclusively to the Nintendo Wii, but that's an interesting question."

    Thoughts?

In other related news, the British Board of Film Classification has just rated the game 18+ here in the UK

The listing comfirms that the title will ship as a mature/adult title, described as containing -

"strong bloody violence and strong language"
    [-no cuts-]

    Thanks to GoNintendo.

I sure hope not. The Wii needs more good exclusives so jerk-offs like me won't keep hating the system.

Eh, most of its good games are exclusives anyway. So, no, this won't change anything. People hate rail shooters anyway.

Rail shooters are making a come back on the Wii.  I don't think this is bad at all.  I personally like rail shooters.  I am pretty sure plenty of people would agree.
Link's Crossbow Training sold 3.94 million copies.
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles sold 1.28 million copies.
The House of the Dead 2 and 3 return sold 1.05 million copies.
Ghost Squad sold .58 million copies.
House of the Dead: Overkill sold .33 miliion copies.

The only rail shooter I have listed and don't own is Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and I happen to dislike the Resident Evil series.  Even at that, it has never stopped First Person Shooters from selling well on the Wii.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption sold 1.53 million copies.
Call of Duty: World at War sold 1.20 million copies.
Call of Duty 3 sold 1.19 million copies.
Red Steel sold 1.19 million copies.

Doesn't really matter anyways.  Haters will be haters.

I certainly hope not. Keeping on-rails shooters away from consoles that I own is a good thing.

What a dumb view for one to hold...

If you don't like a game, simply don't buy it. How does it effect your experience otherwise?.

I could see it maybe being something they put on PSN or XBLA.  I think if they really wanted to do a prequel on either of those console though, I'd think they'd just develop one using the engine from the original Dead Space.  I really feeling like Extraction is just a result of them having to work within the limitations of the console, and the fact that games like this actually do work pretty well on the Wii.  It makes a lot more sense than trying to pull a Chop 'til you Drop.

It just wouldn't make sense financially to to a full on retail release on either then 360 or the PS3... which is, sadly, what this industry is about at the end of the day.  Will it sell?  Maybe, but they aren't going to see Wii numbers on these other consoles.  Hell, the Dead Space that's already on those two consoles aren't doing as well as everyone would like.

I LOVE rail shooters!!!  Fuck the guys that hate on them.  They're just pissed that they couldn't go through House of the Dead on one quarter!!!
