"I just watched that nintendo event video and I was laughing my ass off when the guy was talking about dead risingThe guy is doing public relations. His job is to make every aspect of the game sound like a good thing - even the bad stuff. I think it's pretty clear that this will be a crippled version of Dead Rising though.

no if your an actual good PR person you bump up the good stuff and hide the bad stuff
you make the stupid mistake of trying to make a bad thing into a good thing

The press wants to know what's different in the Wii version. The "bad" differences are huge differences. Of course, you're not going to say "Yeah, this sucks. We're missing a lot of stuff".
You have to make everything sound convincing. That's PR.
"kingmasters said:Exactly. Pretty much all the differences in the Wii version are for the worse, and that guy's job is to sell it. He actually does a pretty good job if you're Joe Schmoe Casual listening to his script, but for the "hardcore gamers" it makes the game sound like it's been dumbed down to a zombie killing sim without any challenge at all."no if your an actual good PR person you bump up the good stuff and hide the bad stuffNo...

It's pretty hard for a PR person to try to say that the Wii version is superior, if they did that, they would come off as sounding unintelligent. Making false claims really wouldn't look good because they also still want to make profits from the 360 version. They have to explain the differences to entice customers to buy the game either way, as well as persuade people with both a Wii and 360 to buy both versions.
