Back to the Future sends me back to my childhood
Back to the Future: Episode 1 is far from perfect, but the sense of nostalgia it brings is enough to warrant purchasing Telltale's latest adventure.
The game starts off with Marty trying to prevent Doc's estate sale, as Doc has been missing for several months now. The little touches that Telltale adds in the game make this game worthwhile for the casual or die hard BttF fan. Things like having to turn the time circuits on before entering a date into the keypad makes the kid in me squeal.
Graphically, BttF has a great art style that's appropriate for both the BttF universe and the look you'd expect from a TellTale game. The only gripe I can mention is with the lip syncing of the characters. Sometimes it gets off and makes the whole game look weird.
The story is a Back to the Future story through and through, it works well and even has some great twists. The story is really brought to life by the voice cast though. Marty sounds fantastic and oddly the one person who sounds a little out of place is Doc himself who is voiced by Christopher Llloyd, the very Doc from the movies.
Overall, Back to the Future is a wonderful purchase and has left me wanting more.
