Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, ZombiePie, am once again happy to be your host as we look back at the site and staff-related news on top of a rundown of the best user-created works from around the web from the previous week!
With the site, Chuck had to disable the Giant Bomb Digest emails as they were overloading the site's VM. If you want to know when the feature will be returning, find the thread about this in the "Announcements" section of the Spotlight. Related, but if you were struggling to unsubscribe to the Giant Bomb Digest earlier in the week, you should be able to do so on your account page in the "click here to alter those settings" section.
Do you regularly have the left or right main slot on the homepage of the site blank or only displaying a big black square? Well, as Chuck discovered, it's either your browser or ISP blocking the sources of the promo images for reasons not clear to him or the site. In the case of Firefox, the browser does not appreciate loading another domains images and is triggering a "Potential Security Risk" flag which means you need to whitelist anything on Giant Bomb with JW to solve this problem.
A handful of Giant Bomb users reported seeing site advertisements despite having premium. That issue should be resolved but if you are still having issues feel free to DM Chuck on Discord or to report the ads on the Site-Tech-Issues section of the Giant Bomb Discord with a screenshot of the ads you are seeing.
Speaking of the Site-Tech-Issues section of the Discord, that seems to be the place to report missing videos. Whether it be recent editions of GMM or, as a user this week pointed out there, random videos in Mass Alex Season 3, Chuck and Jan are working to make sure all phases and generations of Giant Bomb are represented on the new site. Here's an invite to the Discord in case you still haven't joined.
Finally, Chuck has a couple of updates on how Premium users can follow Premium content. First, VLC can accept the Premium video RSS feed. On top of that, there's a new filter on the All Videos page! Clicking this tab might tag a while to process, but it seems to have everything premium.

Again, the Giant Bomb Digest is on a slight hiatus until Chuck can fix a few things that ended up causing issues for the site's VM as well as people getting emails they did not sign up for. If you want to go ahead and opt out of all emails and found you could not do so earlier in the week, that bug should be fixed. If it hasn't, drop a comment in the thread above.

As mentioned previously, there's a new filter on the All Videos page that should let you quickly sort videos to just display Premium features on the site. If you notice any missing videos that should be in the Premium section on the "All Videos" page, drop a comment in the thread above!

Would you be interested in seeing a Theatre Mode for the video player on the site where the player goes full screen but only take up your browser window, similar to the Theatre Mode on YouTube? As mentioned in the intro, a handful of users saw ads despite being premium users. The issue should be fixed, but if that isn't the case, feel free to drop a comment in this thread. Just remember to mention the browser you use and to possibly include screenshots of the ads you are seeing.
