My Mind! - Project Origin Really Is F.E.A.R. 2

As if this whole Project Origin naming thing wasn't convoluted enough already...

This is all your fault, Alma.

OK, if you're anything like me, you've spent the last year or so trying to figure out what the hell is going on with this whole "Project Origin" thing. I finally got to the point where I understood this to be true: Project Origin was the sequel to F.E.A.R., but it couldn't have the F.E.A.R. name on it because Sierra owned that. That also means that the expansions that Sierra--or Vivendi Universal or whatever--weren't part of the official storyline.

But now, presumably just to break my frail mind, IGN's Jason Ocampo has the details on a name change for the game. Now we can all call it F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

Yes, during all of the Activision Blizzard merger turmoil, Warner Bros. stepped in and bought back the rights to use the name. Crafty! Of course, this now means I need to spend another five months or so wrapping my brain around this new change. This should work out pretty well, though, because the game isn't coming out until February 10, 2009.
