I'm of the mind that April Fool's Day jokes need to be deceptive to the point of seeming mean. But that takes time, so after kicking around the following ideas, we chose the one that didn't take any real development time and went with it.
9. Redesigning the front page to look like IGN, ads and all.
8. Filming an "undercover" video of me getting fired over a review score.
7. Going back to the original Wordpress blog for a day.
6. Relaunching as an iPhone-only site.
5. Claiming that we've merged with Destructoid to form the world's most powerful gaming force.
4. Claiming that we've been purchased by CBS.
3. The typical "invent a fake game announcement" thing.
2. Changing the front page to a DOS prompt/dial-up BBS.
1. Covering the site in stupid top ten lists as a "new direction" that will "surely increase traffic."
