JAMMA Show: More Japanese Arcade Games You'll Never Get To Play

Reports are starting to come in about the new arcade machines being shown off at JAMMA's AM Show in Japan. Yes, the land where arcades can still exist without being kitschy or deliberately retro is continuing to rub it in by announcing and showing new games.

Tekken 6 is in the process of getting a Dark Resurrection-like update called Bloodline Rebellion. It will feature two new characters named Alisa Bosconovich and Lars Alexandersson. Alisa can walk, which already makes her better than the last Tekken fighter with anything resembling "Bosconovich" in his name, though is she human? Apparently she can remove her head and use it as a bomb or bust out mechanical wings and stuff. Lars is a little more mysterious, described by andriasang.com as "a rebel who's risen to build a new era."

Arcade Heroes has another report from the show that shows a new Elevator Action game. For the unaware, Elevator Action is a classic arcade game where you shoot and kick your way down a building, collecting secrets and escaping in a car waiting for you in the basement. This new game, Elevator Action: Death Parade is apparently a light-gun game.

Though there's been some confusion about Konami's presence at the trade event, the site also has a shot of a Castlevania arcade game. It appears to be a large environmental cabinet for two player that uses some sort of motion whip controller.

With any luck, some of this stuff will either pop up at the Tokyo Game Show or be out on location test when we're over there next month.
