Curve Studios--makers of Sony's big-in-Europe Buzz! series--has thrown off the quiz-game yoke and is working on a new side-scrolling action game called Explodemon! set to hit PlayStation Network, PC, and WiiWare this year. I'll lean toward the PSN version, because:
- The DualShock 3 has an excellent d-pad
- It will look better than those other platforms, and
- I'm really digging the hottest new trend of 2009, "Games on the PlayStation 3 I want to play."
Here's the trailer. Looks a hell of a lot like a Mega Man game, no? Where have you been with a proper high-def rendition of the Blue Bomber, Capcom? Curve is beating you to the punch! Except their little robot dude is red.

Explodemon! is a 2.5D action platform game with an explosive main character. I'm all for homages, the Super NES, Mario, Mega Man, and even Halo and Half-Life (?!)--but guys, Western developers shouldn't spell out the names of their games in Katakana. It just looks weird, and your game seems pretty neat without it.
