A) celebrate the existence of the game by TYPING LOUDLY ABOUT IT wherever possible.
B) lash out at anyone who perceives Smash Bros. to be anything short of the greatest thing to ever happen to humanity.
That’s sort of a weird disconnect for me. While I’m not exactly some huge Smash Bros. fiend, myself, including online play this time around means I can at least get out there and fight against people who really like this game. Maybe that’ll give me a clue as to why people are so crazy about it. Well, in theory, anyway. This leads me to today’s question:
Is anyone out there able to get the online in Brawl to work? I’ve been getting error codes all morning that correspond to “this game is popular, so obviously the servers are jacked.” That wasn’t a huge surprise. Now, I seem to be able to connect to other players, but when it goes to load the game, it drops the connection and boots me out to the main menu. So I’ve been sticking to betting coins while spectating matches, which has been sort of fun.
Between attempts at connecting online and feeding my awful gambling addiction, I’ve been futzing around the the single-player for a few hours, which has caused me to say “yep, this is totally Smash Bros.” at least twice. That’s not really a bad thing.
