Just wondering if anyone know how to get a bit of free time. Money is a little short ATM. I will have enough to pick up the exp pack and a month but I want to try it again before I put any money into it. I did play for years and went back for two months the last exp pack.

I did look into and couldn't find anything. found out it some free time came in some loot crates but that doesn't help me lol

You can play characters up to level 20 for free.

Occasionally they'll send out emails to lapsed subscribers which, if activated, will give you 7 days of free game time, but they probably only do that once or twice a year.

@ajamafalous: I got one a long time ago. I try useing it and it had expired lol

@zaboomyfool: I'd send Blizz customer service an email and ask if they can set you up with some time. Let them know you're getting the itch and were hoping to mess around a bit before you pick up the xpac. I had them resolve a completely non-WoW related issue for me last month and the girl who helped me out threw three days onto my very expired wow account just in case I wanted to jump back in for the weekend.

If you can't scape together $15 in a month, you shouldn't be wasting money on the expansion.

I'm haven't played in years and I'm not sure how the economy is at this point, but I think you can buy game time with gold now.

It used to be pretty easy to make a ton of gold. I used to just buy leather off the AH spend 10 minutes farming motes or essences or whatever they were and sell the leg upgrade things for 4 times what I paid for the leather. New expansion means people need to enchant their shit. Get them to pay you to do that. Unless that isn't a thing anymore.

Garrisons basically prevented that from being anything anymore

What email address did you send something to? I'm looking to try this, too, but seems like I'd need to submit a ticket, and not sure what "Hey can I get some free time" would fall under.

Last I checked you can just buy game time with in-game gold. I think it's at around 40k/month. Lowest I've seen is about 30k. If you have lots of gold that might be a viable option?

If you want some free time to play warcraft the best ways are to quit your job and dump your girlfriend.

@zaboomyfool: actually I think you can log in and from the character select screen chose and inactive character and buy a token for them, provided that character has enough gold on them. Shouldn't even have to pay to do that part, since you can still log in to an inactive account with your username/pw

@takayamasama: @zaboomyfool: No need to pay first! I just logged in to my inactive account and did some legion invasions on a couple of sub-level 20 characters last week. Can totally buy game time with inactive account without resubbing! I think gold cost is distributed across your whole account? Not sure since I've never bought time with gold.
