OH MY GOD, its brilliant, when the Sonic series is on the verge of total dieingyishness (die-ing-e-ish-ness) they make a Sonic game that is exactly like all the other 2 stars out of 5 Sonic games. Yes THAT will save the series.

DAMN IT!  They had such a cool thing going until I saw the footage of the werehog.  Why the hell do they have to keep trying to change the gameplay?  We want SONIC and only SONIC!  If you have to put in different characters, then go the way of Sonic and Knuckles or Sonic the Hedgehog 3 where you could also control Tails and Knuckles where they really weren't to different diffeent from SONIC!

Does anyone get excited when they hear "Sonic" anymore?  How does this series still persist?  I'm more excited about Banjo + Kazooie to spend any time or money on Sonic.

God it happens every freaking time. I start watching an unleashed trailer get really excited and pumped about the look of the game...then the werehog. Everytime I see this freaking thing pop up I instantly lose my enthusiasm for the game, hell the could turn out real well and the werehog parts are fun too, the the gameplay videos really dont help the cause.

Fantastic-Incredible trailer. This is a real adventure game/franchise, so it's gonna be very fun.

I was interested in this game up until the footage of the Warehog gameplay.

Why couldn't they JUST have given us a game like the old ones on the Mega Drive but in 3D... It was so much better.

I mean why fill it with this hack-kneed storyline.  Take the Mario games.  Its pretty much always Princess is captured, you go save her.  The only time they changed it up was for Sunshine... and even Nintendo themselves said... "Mario Galaxy is the game that Sunshine should have been, the successor to Mario 64".

Just gimmie Sonic 2 and 3 in 3D ALREADY !

Sonic Team just work on bring Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles to XBLA with some lovely HD remixed graphics (along with the original 16bit versions as well.)

Sonic is the most overrated franchise ever. This looks just as dumb as the other games. Sonic needs to be buried and forgotten.

lol, looks like sonic + stretch armstrong at the end there.

the biggest issue with 3d oriented sonic is that it is way to tough to get a handle on things.  with something like the oldschool sonics the pace was a lot slower, getting through the loops and stuff were a lot more controlled.  you got to figure out where you had to go while you went through the level.  if you messed up, grab some rings, and get back in there.  now it seems like, well, your going 200 mph and you had better know the level or you will just fall and die.

It would be nice for them to make a sonic game without some sort of gimmick. They also seem to lack speed, but this one looks like its better in that department.

This is all part of their grand master plan!

Step one: drive the Sonic franchise straight into the ground and make people long for an ACTUAL Sonic game.
Step two: make said ACTUAL Sonic game.
Step three: release said ACTUAL Sonic game and be hailed as the second coming of Christ for reviving a franchise all thought dead and lost.

Someone just needs to tell them that they've more than accomplished step one and can move on to step two...

That stretchy armed "were-hog" stuff looks pretty bad. I don't know, this does not look promising at all.

This looks like it could EASILY be the best game on Dreamcast this year!

God, why?! What is wrong with sonic team? Can they learn NOTHING??? I defy anyone to think of a single reason that anyone would want to do those stupid werehog segments.

Everything looked....ok until the warehog parts.  That makes it look shitty.,

The game looked good until the manpig, I mean werehog bits came.
