I'm interested to see what they do to give more pace to the combat, that seems like a tough thing to do. The game was fun, but the combat was lacking a bit I guess. I didn't really mind it, but I don't mind them trying to making it something different either.

That conversation seemed awkward and forced but the weird stuff in the background certainly seemed very Remedy. If the combat is refreshed and the story is Alan Wake going through episodes of Night Springs/The Twilight Zone or at the very least advancing the main story a little then cool. Not having co-op in the horde mode dooms it from the start though.

I loved the Xbox original but it's a 2/3 year old game at this point with barely any improvements other than a resolution bump. Can't wait to play it again but I bet most people would wait for a Steam sale (I know I did with LA Noire).

With games like Iron Brigade, I Am Alive and American Nightmare, Xbox Live Arcade has come a very long way from when it first started. The prices may have gone up but in a lot of cases, so has the quality.

When the title was first announced for PC, the vague wording made it sound like it would not only not include any of the DLC, but it would be full price also. So glad to see that Remedy aren't anywhere near as deluded as I had assumed...

Seems like a good price, and so soon! Awesome. I'll buy.

Can't wait for this. Loved the Alan Wake fiction, especially the webisodes that came out to hype the game. I didn't tire of the action like many seemed to either, so an action-heavy Alan Wake experience as a bridge to a future sequel is fine by me.

I'm so glad there is more Alan Wake on the way. American Nightmare's announcement inspired me to finish off the DLC from the first game and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Also, I think Remedy just stepped up the whole Dev Diary thing. Awesome.

Most developer diaries just have the developer talking to me, the person who is unconvinced holding the money. The canned laughter and everything is just so painful to watch, but I'm not seeing this in anyone else's comments, so it could just be me.

Always love hearing Sami speak. It's an interesting thing where I usually cringe at Finns trying to speak English, but with him it's apparent he knows the language, just has a thick-ass accent.

It's not just you. I love Alan Wake, but fucking hell... I need to be more sold on this game. They need acting lessons and less back patting.

It's definitely not just you. The only part of that whole thing that I found interesting was whatever the hell was going on in the background. The three developers were horribly fake and annoying, and most of the gameplay could have been taken from the original Alan wake for all the differences I saw.

Oh man, the Finnish accent. I hate it. And I have it.

The developers are no more fake in this then any other Dev Diary. The only difference is that they go of what the other person is speaking about and not several developers that talk about complettly different things most of the time. And a reason it might sound fake is because they had a script since two of the three are not native english speaking people. If this was a Bungie Vidoc then it would have been twice as long to get the same amount of info across. This was more of an interview then talking heads that just seem overly excited.

It's more of an interview and two of the three aren't native english speakers. That's probebly why they seem "fake". Should they be stiff and stare straight into the camera and sput information?

And by back patting are you refering to them asying that they had to put a story in since they're Remedy. If so, that's not back patting. That's them just acknowledging that people expect Remedy games to have a great story. Or is it that they say they are putting in great combat that they are known for? Because that's pretty much what every dev does, they tout their strong points, for Remedy, it's story, combat and atmosphere. Go watch some Bungie Vidocs for example, they do the exact same thing, touting what they're good at.

Evil Alan Wake's double..who looks like Alan Wake. And Chris Redfield. And Nathan Drake. And Solid Snake. And...

Still need to tear the shrink wrap off my Alan Wake package.

Finally played the Writer last week after having downloaded it a year ago. This looks really promising and I'm ready for some more Alan Wake.

This kinda looks like the Mercenaries mode from Resident Evil 4/5. Seems pretty cool nonetheless.
