I remember really wanting the sub zero game on N64 as a kid. Also they should endurance run the sub zero game i wanna see the whole thing. :D

Nice trip down MK's past.  I feel old.  But I will never forget the first time I saw a fatality in Mortal Kombat in that cheap ass arcade in the back of Sears at the mall.  Our 13 year old minds were fully blown and years later, same guys I played with back in the day can't wait to fatality online....just as soon as Sony sorts it out....and I change my passwords....and repair my credit....and forcibly reclaim my identity.

I wish I was there with you guys, chatting about MK.

Love these throwback-style videos. Especially with Jeff dropping all that mad knowledge. Nice to mix up the video content on the site with occasionally things like these.

MK Trilogy was my first MK. I still remember fondly.

MK DEADLY ALIANCE!!! HELL YEA!! i had this for game cube man!!!! AWSOME!!

I wasn't allowed to watch MK when it first came out so I used to sneak into the living room and use my periscope I made at cub scout camp to watch my brother play.

I have the Wii version of MK: Armageddon. Best part about it? MK karts.

Great feature guys. Shame you didn't have Armageddon, it has a HUUUUUUGE character list, over 60 if I remember correctly.

Really great feature, brought back a lot of nostalgia for me.  Too bad they didn't show MK4 and Armageddon though.  Would have been cool if they could have shown some more of the Konquest mode too, some of the stuff in there is downright hilarious.

Great video, after watching this & finding out that Deception works on the 360 I went out & luckily found the Kollectors edition for $15 at a local store (chain retailer-Half Price Books) that sells used books/console & pc games/cds (used but apparently kept in great condition). Found out which I forgot about when playing this on the Xbox ages ago is that you can go in most of the houses in Konquest & there's all kinds of quests in there for more koins. Hope that if Giantbomb crew has more time to do more videos like this on other franchises to just revisit some gaming history that might have been overlooked at the time. Too bad that they didn't get time for going into Shaolin Monks with this video as I remember that being quite fun until the bosses at the end & having to fight them each but unlike the rest of the game have no way of health recovery.

MK Mythologies is such an awful game.  That and MK4 were enough to completely kill my affection for the series until 9.
